If you have ever read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories or novels or seen BBC's Sherlock series, you know about Sherlock's extraordinary skills of observation, induction, and deduction. In Sherlock, it takes the likes of Jim Moriarty and Irene Adler to throw him off.
So, this post is for what Sherlock can know. If you want him to know something about your character but can't think of how he could figure it out, tell me. We can work together to decide on something that would indicate it. Otherwise, consult the list below and carefully consider what sort of marks your character would have and what that would reveal, particularly in combination with each other.
A good example of what Sherlock is capable of can be found in the links below.
Things to consider: style of clothes, condition of clothes, brands of clothes, hair style, grooming products used, grooming products not used, amount of grooming products used, personal hygenie, state of fingernails, jewellery, condition of jewellery, kind of make-up, amount of make-up, posture, wallet, purse, condition of fashion and function accessories, cell phone, make of cell phone, condition of cell phone, perfume/cologne, kind of perfume/cologne, amount of perfume/cologne, tan, kind of tan, severity of tan, corrective eye lenses, habits, hobbies, health issues, profession (and the subsequent "marks" it would leave on someone).

Kazooie (the Breegull)
Clothing: Kazooie is both easy and really difficult to identify for this - she doesn't wear any clothes on a consistent basis, per se, so generally one will have to guess simply based off of her body. (Of course, there's really not much to guess there.)
During drafts and any significantly dangerous occasion, Kazooie will be seen with her trademark blue backpack. It buckles in two places using brown clasps and has a golden Rare logo on it. Sherlock will be likely to find her inside such a backpack - she mysteriously manages to fit into it despite logically not being able to. (She can do the same with other backpacks and similar carrying devices as well.) When inside a backpack on someone's back, she noticeably has access to a wider range of moves and can better pull off some of the moves she has, though she's significantly slowed down and curtailed in speed.
Also, during fancy occasions, Kazooie is prone to wearing simple but standout outfits such as a simple black tuxedo vest and a black bowtie. She might also sport a pair of sunglasses if she's relaxing on the beach.
... If she's ever humanized for a Shift, she won't really know what to do with clothing, though one could probably expect to find her in brightly-coloured clothes that mimic her own natural body colours, and are comfortable and easy to wear
like shortsthat won't restrict her from a lot of movement.Personal Grooming: As a cartoon, Kazooie rarely needs to do much in the way of personal grooming. Her feathers are essentially incapable of really getting damaged - but she still exhibits preening and grooming behaviours occasionally out of habit. However, she is rarely immaculate - she often has dirt or grime on her, especially on her legs because she does a lot of running and jumping. She's not afraid to get a little messy, and all of this shows she has an active, exuberant lifestyle.
Despite all this, though, she wouldn't want to be filthy particularly long - birds don't like being too dirty, and she has expressed disgust at completely unsanitary conditions before. It will just take longer for her to care if she's engrossed in something - especially if she's in the middle of something extremely awesome and thrilling. Then things like cleanliness definitely take a back seat to adventure.
Physical Appearance (Beyond Grooming): This is something that should be really easy to pinpoint. Kazooie is, in a word, totally standout - about three-and-half feet tall (1.0668~ m) and weighing less than thirty pounds (13.607~ kg), she is also very small, but possesses a disproportionate amount of strength despite her dimunitive size. She looks like a walking, talking computer model - basically almost exactly like her high-definition computer models - even down to the rasterized look on her crest and the pixellated edges of her feathers. (Inspecting a feather up close will reveal that the colours are pixellated.)
Her body is plushy, like velvet, and rather unnaturally warm to the touch - consistent throughout, like she's artificial. The skin of her legs is a pebbly texture, though it's a very precise pebbling and doesn't deviate much - her claws are small but sharp and capable of getting a lot of traction (more than expected). Her beak is smooth, marked with two subtle nostrils at the top (between her eyes) - think plastic-like smooth - and rigid, but capable of contorting in ways it just shouldn't be able to for her to play things like a kazoo. Her wings are similar - they can flap in a way that suggests there isn't even a bone structure in them. She has a medium-length tail composed of three large feather structures; she flicks it often, especially when she's running. Her pelvis is slung further back than it is in most ground birds, and it gives her a strange, leaning gait.
Her eyes are probably one of her most standout features - they are enormous, expressive and bright green. Despite their strange placement, she has normal binocular vision (and seems to be capable of "zooming in" her field of vision with invisible "Amaze-O-Gaze" goggles). They are fringed by hard-to-notice short, black feathery eyelashes; her eyelids are feathered in the same way as the rest of her head. She has a brushlike crest which is manipulable to an extent in response to her emotions; it's rasterized at the edge, and tends to droop a little over her face.
Her Filial wings, however, are noticeably different. They, in contrast to her highly-computerized body, look completely organic. They are the same bright colours as her actual wings, and sit between them, usually tucked flat in the space between her shoulder blade-equivalents.
On rare occasions (usually drafts), Kazooie may be transformed into her Dragon Kazooie form. In this, she's bright green, covered in pebbly scales that resemble her usual leg scales, and marked with the occasional bright yellow scales running the length of her beak-like maw and back. Her tail is slender and ends in an arrow-shaped clubbed tip. Other than her wings being webbed instead of feathered, her head being topped in beige spikes, and her face being marked with frills, there aren't too many differences in her proportions - her height and weight remain the same, and she still has the same abilities as her normal Breegull Form - with the exception of lacking the Rat-a-Tat Rap, which turns into a fire-breathing attack. This form should only really come up during a draft, a mission, or a Shift.
Habits/Quirks/Noticeable Traits: Kazooie is constantly fourth-walling herself, and casually at that - she will mention she's from a video game nearly indiscriminately and bring up aspects of her games in conversation as though it were nothing. If pressed, she'll even give the titles of her games and the consoles they're on. She doesn't seem to see anything wrong with this at all, and in fact prides herself on this fact inordinately much.
Kazooie is very egotistical, snarky, and prone to mocking people at the drop of a hat. She playfully banters with almost everybody she knows and is prone to using slang - often "Americanized" English slang because of her strange origins video game-wise. She generally calls people by silly nicknames rather than their actual name, and isn't particularly formal or polite in the vast majority of circumstances.
Despite her casual, almost cavalier approach to life, however, Kazooie has good instincts and is able to predict how to react to most situations pretty well. She's sharp - not a genius, but a good tactician and able to pull off sneaky tricks. She probably wouldn't be able to outsmart Sherlock, though... unless she threw him for a loop.
She has some birdlike traits, including preening her feathers, tucking her head behind a wing when she's resting outside of her backpack, perching and standing on one leg to keep warm. They aren't very exaggerated though, and tempered by cartooniness. Other than this, her body language is open and relaxed, and she swaggers a lot.
Kazooie's voice is also cartoony and high-pitched, prone to squawking (especially when she raises her voice) and with a strange English accent that tends to get lost in all of the rest of it.
Profession: A hero! And boy, will she remind you of this to the point where it will get seriously annoying. Kazooie is always adventuring and exploring, and she's usually driven to try to save the day, even if she finds it annoying when people can't take care of themselves. This is especially true if her friends are in trouble.
Hobbies/Common Activities: Kazooie trains on a consistent basis to keep herself sharp and in top shape - it's common to see her doing laps around the village and using the roofs and terrain as a kind of parkour. She keeps strange times, so there's no real consistency to when she's out and about, but it's easiest to do so in the mornings when less people are crowding the village. She spends an inordinate amount of time practising shooting Eggs, too, and routinely has to swing by the Weapons Shop to restock from her respawning Egg nests there.
She'll drop by Seventh Heaven generally to eat (because she can't cook too well on her own) and frequents the bakery as well (Sherlock will notice a proclivity for poppyseed muffins) for goodies to eat while she's going about her day. She might also drop by the barracks or Battle Dome to get some more serious training in, for days where she's really focused. Or he might catch her Gliding to the beach or forest, depending on her mood - she's fast enough to get there in a reasonable amount of time.
Her most irritating habit is playing her kazoo-bugle thing - it's a weird, tubular instrument made of blue polished metal. She can play it inexplicably without any real logical way of producing the varied notes she makes - and has gotten to be pretty good at it, too. She'll practise at odd hours and is too selfish to really care if she's interrupting other people. That might even mean she'll try to play it in public venues like Cloud Nine...
Information (That Would Probably Be Easy To Pick Up):
Kazooie lives alone (right now) but wants to move. She's scoping out apartments and seems to want a roommate to pick up the slack (but really she's just lonely, although that part will be much MUCH harder to discern). This is easily found out by the fact her apartment is mostly empty and that she doesn't eat there the vast majority of the time.
She doesn't have the same understandings of the world as non-cartoons do and doesn't respect things like ownership of items or privacy (because she's used to just barging into places and taking all the stuff there). Time in Luceti has tempered this a little, but she still is likely to forget her place and take things without permission anyway.
Kazooie is part of a group of non-humans in Luceti formed by Rainbow Dash, and seems to have inordinate pride about this (not that she doesn't have inordinate pride about most things).
Speaking of Rainbow Dash, it's easy to tell that Kazooie is pretty close to her, as well as Pao-Lin, Grune, and - strangely - Doctor Eggman.
... ffff. If I can think of more I'll add it but for now I'm stumped.
