Deduction 2 - [ video ]
[They'd agreed to a week. A week without incident, of rest and recovery. Then, the unspoken half of it went, they would go their separate ways.
But after ten whole days without another word said about moving or kicking out...
The video feed kicks on in the early afternoon, aimed at one of the plain white walls of 2-21.]
This is unacceptable.
[Sherlock Holmes is back on his feet and physically feeling much better.
Sorry, Luceti.]
I need paint, wallpaper, and glue. Lots of all of it. Where can I find it?
Also. Regarding the hideously plain excuses for furniture in this flat-- There are obviously no cabs here, so I'm going to assume there are no trucks. How am I supposed to realistically re-furnish a flat? Surely in a place where wings are mysteriously attached to people, there is something better than just carting furniture almost a kilometre.
On a final note: If a human skull shows up in the item shop, it is mine. Return it to me at Community House 2, Room 21.
(Two edits:
A. the Imperial measurement is gone. Bad Lynn. No miles. Kilometres!
B. I spaced about the "only a mile wide" thing and was looking at the scale to try and figure it out. That's fixed in the entry too, now. Sorry about that.)

[He can only tell so much from these little pictures.]

I did speak to a girl like that who mentioned she knew you. She didn't mention painting. Seemed surprised you have a flatmate.

Just an observation.

[ Okay, Lestrade, time to make use of this thing you've taught him. ]
Don't be rude about it, but I don't think letting a young girl paint our flat is the best idea.

She didn't offer, so I won't ask.
[Oh, and:]
Good job.
[Genuine? Or making fun of him?
So hard to tell when it's his handwriting.]

We need better chairs.
What are we going to do with the furniture we want to toss?

Could dragged them to the common spaces. More places to sit out there.

Going out. Do you need anything aside from what's already been mentioned?

[It's worth a try.]

Are you sure you want to start up on this again?

We're running low on sugar.

Another young woman offered assistance moving new things in through magic.
She offered a demonstration if I did not believe her. (Which I certainly don't, not without this demonstration.) Should I bother? Or shall I tell her that her help is not needed?
[After all, if a young woman who painted was not to be asked for help, should he bother with this? It didn't matter enough to him to go ahead and do it anyway, so he'd ask.]

Responding takes him a moment's pause. How does he tell Sherlock that he's almost inclined to believe there are forces here beyond what they've known? After being told countless times about magic and seeing it for himself when Sherlock was in the clinic, it's rather hard to deny. But they are men of science, and Sherlock hasn't been out of the flat for very long, so John is at a disadvantage. ]
Tell her we'll take her help. If she can actually move something and she's willing to help us out for free, does it matter what she calls her methods?
Up to you whether or not you want to see a demonstration, but it's not like you've anything better to do. You're asking after wallpaper...

I'd like to make sure she can, first. So I'll see a demonstration. If she can do it, that's certainly useful.
